Antonio Gutierrez Appointed NAHU Media Relations Chair

Raleigh NC - Antonio Gutierrez, Managing Partner of the White Bear Group, was appointed Media Relations Chair for the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU).

Tony will represent the needs of thousands of health insurance agents and brokers from throughout the country concerning media relations issues and initiatives. Tony will focus getting the NAHU's message out to a wide variety of media outlets. NAHU believes that all Americans should have access to high-quality and affordable health care.

"Americans demand choice and no one solution will fit the needs of all of our citizens. They also need the advice of health insurance advocates like health insurance agents and brokers." says Tony.

Too many Americans are unable to afford the cost of adequate health insurance coverage. But instead of taking steps to lower costs, some legislators continue to advocate for misguided health insurance reforms that will raise the cost of health insurance, pricing people out of coverage. NAHU will campaign for a health care system that maximizes choice in health care and promotes a robust and competitive market so more Americans will have access to affordable health care.

Tony was also instrumental in creating two NAHU issue websites, Faces of the Uninsured which highlights how health insurance agents and brokers helped the uninsured find coverage, and Brokers Making A Difference with stories of how agents and brokers helped their individual and group clients solve health insurance related problems every day.

The National Association of Health Underwriters represents 20,000 professional health insurance agents and brokers who provide insurance for millions of Americans. NAHU is headquartered in Arlington, VA.
